Alhoewel het resultaat voor ons niet positief was donderdagavond in Birmingham, hebben behalve de Ajax-fans ook de Aston Villa-fans genoten van de atmosfeer. Op het belangrijkste forum van ‘The Villans’ zijn er veel lofuitingen aan het adres van de meegereisde Amsterdamse supporters.
Forum-lid ‘OutByEaster?’ schrijft kort na terugkomst uit het stadion: A great night, terrific atmosphere; ’the Ajax fans were great and the lower North Stand brought more noise than Public Enemy, fair play to them, they were on cracking form tonight and did the Villa proud.’ Ook ‘kkr’ steekt de loftrompet over de Ajacieden: ‘Oh the Ajax fans were superb also, in great voice and didn’t stop singing all through the first half and were still at it the end of the second also, fair play to them.’
